Signal Art · A closer reading
Warmth is an action
Frost Pulse measures winter through the care people put between a body and the cold.
A key warmed in a palm is a tiny revision of the world: the door is unchanged, but someone has made its threshold kinder. Such details give the close voice a moral scale smaller and more persuasive than a declaration.
The music's continued motion can be heard as the endurance required to repeat these acts. Warmth is not secured once and for all. It is made again at the kettle, at the cuff, and in the inch of glass cleared for another person to see through.
A question to carry: Where do you make the world a little less cold for someone?
care · endurance · warmth
