Breath on the Window

The name that clears with the glass

Breath on the Window lets a written name become both a keepsake and an obstruction.

The Persian lyric places memory in breath on cold glass. The same warmth that makes the name visible also ensures that it cannot remain there unchanged.

The final movement from asking it to stay toward letting the mist go offers a delicate reading of release. The world beyond the window has remained present, waiting for the hand to stop making memory the only thing it can see.

A question to carry: What might become visible when a cherished mark begins to fade?

memory · release · visibility
